To keep your houseplants happy, learn to be flexible in your watering habits.
Check the state of their potting mix every 3 to 4 days… but only water those whose soil is dry to the touch. Skip the others. Then, 3 or 4 days later, go back and water only those plants whose soil is dry. You’ll find that some plants need watering with each time, at least while they’re in active growth, while others are only thirsty every 2 times, or 3 times, maybe even every 4 or 5 times. The same plant’s needs will even change according to the season, the size of the pot, and other factors. And dormant plants will go months without needing water!
Thus, by selectively watering every three or four days, you’ll be able to meet the needs of all your plants, without exception.
